The ROG AniMe Matrix and Slash Lighting are advanced display and lighting technologies developed by ASUS under their Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand. These features are designed to offer enhanced customization and aesthetic appeal for gaming laptops and peripherals.

AniMe Matrix

The AniMe Matrix is a unique feature available on select ROG devices, such as the ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. It utilizes a grid of mini-LEDs embedded in the laptop's lid to display customizable animations, visualizations, and notifications. Users can personalize their devices with static or animated images, including text, memes, and GIFs. The AniMe Matrix supports various brightness levels for detailed and vibrant displays.

Slash Lighting

Slash Lighting is featured on the 2024 ROG Zephyrus G14 model. This lighting design involves a bold streak of customizable light across the lid, inspired by sci-fi and contemporary art. It represents an evolution in the aesthetic design of ROG laptops, offering both functional and visual customization. The Slash Lighting comes with 15 preprogrammed animations that users can choose from to personalize their device.
